A mother of three boys and an educator who is eager to contribute nine years of classroom experience. I enjoy cooking, traveling, and reading. I speak fluent Spanish and I like everything I do to be well-organized. I believe that teachers can change lives with the right mix of chalk and challenges.
Masters of Arts in Education, Columbia University Teacher's College. Bachelor of Science in Education, minor in Accounting and Spanish, Saint John's University.
• Expose students to literature from many standpoints: in connection with history, science, and the arts; in pursuit of answers to a question; in consideration of a theme or literary elements; and as a way of gaining insight into human existence.
• Have students build their own dictionary of words that they have investigated in their reading.
• Students will study morphology, etymology, and word history throughout the units.
